Presentation: Solution 200ml, 500ml Spray 30ml Lozenge (sugar-free): honey lemon, orange, doublemint, raspberry, eucalyptus and menthol, 16s.
Active Ingredients: Benzydamine hydrochloride 0.15% (solution & spray), 3mg (lozenge), cetylpyridinium chloride 1.33mg (lozenge).
Approved Indications: Relief of painful inflammatory conditions of the mouth and throat including pharyngitis, aphthous ulcers, radiotherapy induced mucositis, post surgical, eg. tonsillectomy, dental surgery.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any ingredient.
Precautions: Do not chew lozenges, or swallow solutions. Laxative if lozenge used in excess (isomalt). Pregnancy and lactation.
Adverse Effects: Oral numbness, occasional burning or stinging. Less commonly dryness or thirst, tingling, warm feeling in the mouth, altered taste. Rare systemic effects include gastrointestinal disorders, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, hypersensitivity reactions.
Directions: Lozenge - adults and children over 6 years suck 1 lozenge one to two hourly as required, maximum 12 lozenges per day. Solution - adults and children over 12 years rinse or gargle with 15ml (about 1 tablespoon) for 20-30 seconds every 1.5-3 hours, as required. Do not swallow. Spray - adults 4-8 sprays every 1.5-3 hours; children 6-12 years 4 sprays every 1.5-3 hours; children under 6 years 1 spray for each 4kg of body weight, maximum 4 sprays every 1.5-3 hours.
