Presentation: Solution 200ml, 500ml. Lozenge (sugar-free): honey lemon, orange, doublemint, raspberry, eucalyptus and menthol, 16s.
Active Ingredients: Benzydamine hydrochloride 22.5 mg/15ml (solution), 3mg (lozenge), cetylpyridinium chloride 1.33mg. (lozenge).
Approved Indications: Relief of painful inflammatory conditions of the mouth and throat including pharyngitis, aphthous ulcers, radiotherapy-induced mucositis, post-orosurgical and periodontal procedures.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any ingredient.
Precautions: Do not chew lozenges, or swallow solutions. Contains isomalt, excess consumption may have a laxative effect. Consider antibacterial treatment if bacterial infection is present. Pregnancy and lactation.
Adverse Effects: Oral numbness, occasional burning or stinging. Less commonly dryness or thirst, tingling, warm feeling in the mouth, altered taste. Uncommon systemic effects include nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal disorders, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, hypersensitivity reactions.
Directions: Lozenge: adults and children over 6 years, suck 1 lozenge one to two hourly as required, maximum 12 lozenges per day. Solution: adults and children over 6 years, rinse or gargle with 15ml (about 1 tablespoon) for 20-30 seconds every 1.5-3 hours, as required. Do not swallow. Uninterrupted Difflam treatment should not exceed 7 days without medical supervision. Not for children under 6 years.
