Presentation: Drops 10ml, ointment 5g.
Active Ingredients: Drops: propamidine isethionate 0.1%. Ointment:
dibromopropamidine isethionate 0.15%.
Approved Indications: Drops: Treatment of eye infections such as acute and chronic conjunctivitis, and prevention of infection resulting from minor injury to the eye. Ointment: Treatment of eyelid infections such as blepharitis and resulting from minor injuries to the eye.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any ingredient.
Precautions: Seek medical advice if no improvement after 2 days of use. Do not drive or operate machinery after using ointment until it is clear that vision is not affected. Do not use with soft or gas-permeable contact lenses.
Adverse Effects: Rarely, skin sensitisation.
Directions: Drops: Instil 1-2 drops four times daily into infected eye, for not more than 1 week. Ointment: First cleanse affected eyes with warm water or saline which has been previously boiled. Apply ointment to eyelids or conjunctival sacs once or twice daily for 2 days. Discard 1 month after opening.
